Bolivian Rams are small, attractive cichlids with a distinctive appearance.They have a body adorned with shades of gold, blue and red, accented by black markings.Their fins are often highlighted with bright blue and red edges, making them a visually appealing fish.
Size and Lifespan
Bolivian Rams grow to an average length of around 3 inches in the aquarium. With the proper care, their lifespan can be between 3-4 years!
Tank Size and Requirements
We recommend a tank that is 10 gallons for a singular specimen. For a pair or trio (1M2F), at the very least a 20 gallon! They work well with a variety of fish and do best in a non-aggressive community!
Diet
Bolivian Rams are omnivorous fish, they thrive on a mix of foods. High-quality pellets or flakes designed for tropical fish can serve as a staple diet, providing essential nutrients. However it is highly recommended to supplement their diet with live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp.
