Tank Size and Requirements
The minimum tank size is 75 gallons is needed for a single EB Jack Dempsey Cichlid, with larger tanks required for additional fish or community setups. They thrive in water temperatures between 75°F-80°F. Provide a sandy or gravel substrate, along with sturdy rocks, caves, and driftwood for territories and hiding spots. Strong filtration and regular water changes are essential to manage their bioload and maintain water quality. If you do want to house them with other fish, they have to grow to be in similar size and temperament.
Diet
EB Jack Dempsey cichlids are omnivorous fish, they thrive on a mix of foods. High-quality pellets or flakes designed for tropical fish can serve as a staple diet, providing essential nutrients. However it is highly recommended to supplement their diet with live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp.
