Size and Lifespan
They grow to an average length up to around 7 inches in the aquarium. With the proper care, their lifespan can be between 8-10 years!
Tank Size and Requirements
We recommend a tank that is 40 gallons for a pair of these beauties, bigger if you plan to keep them in a community setting. They can be kept with other peaceful and semi-aggressive fish that are too large to be eaten, but small, delicate invertebrates like dwarf shrimp should be avoided.
Diet
Firemouth Meeki cichlids are omnivorous fish, they thrive on a mix of foods. High-quality pellets or flakes designed for tropical fish can serve as a staple diet, providing essential nutrients.
