The Ocellaris clownfish, also known as the false percula clownfish or common clownfish, is a popular marine fish known for its bright orange color with three white bands outlined in black. They are hardy and relatively easy to care for, making them a good choice for beginner aquarists.
Size and Lifespan
The Orange Ocellaris Clownfish grow up to be about 4 inches and can live between 12-20 years with proper care.
Tank Size and Requirements
More space is always beneficial, but a minimum tank size of 15 gallons is recommended for an Ocellaris Clownfish (single or pair). If you plan to add other tankmates, consider a larger aquarium to provide adequate space and reduce territorial behavior.
Diet
The Clownfish diet consists of meaty items such as frozen shrimp and herbivore preparations.
